DOORWAY TO KNOWLEDGE by Lynn Bauer - A close-up look at the doors to the schoolhouse in Bodie, California. Bodie is the largest preserved ghost town in the country. It is a state historic park, which draws many visitors each year to observe how life was in the "olden days." This set of old wooden doors is the entryway to the town's schoolhouse. This old town is filled with historic buildings. The streets remain much has they were back in the 1800's and early 1900's. It is wonderful to roam the streets of Bodie, getting an idea of what it was to live so many years ago.

I have spent most of my life living in Southern California where I have developed an appreciation for all the beauty provided by nature. I've been blessed to be able to visit gorgeous mountains, like the High Sierra, which is home to some of the most majestic sights on earth, such as Yosemite National Park, as well as making quick trips to the beaches of the Pacific Coast, if I want to spend an evening shooting a sunset. One of my favorite past times has been to spend the spring season hunting down amazing wildflower blooms...including two years of "Superbloom" seasons in 2017 and 2019.
