TEMBLOR BEAUTY SUPERBLOOM 2017 by Lynn Bauer - The Temblor Mountain Range has come alive with flowers during the spring. Hillside daisies and goldfields blanket the Temblors in bright sunny yellow, while purple phacelia add pretty contrast. The bright blue sky makes extraordinary! It is a breathtaking sight and one I will remember for a very long time. California is known for so many things...but, one of my very favorites is seeing some of our desert landscapes transform into incredible works of art and beauty with the emergence of spring wildflowers!
The Temblor Mountains are located on the east side of California's Carrizo Plain National Monument. The Plain runs from Bakersfield in Kern County up to San Luis Obispo County.
About Lynn Bauer
I have spent most of my life living in Southern California where I have developed an appreciation for all the beauty provided by nature. I've been blessed to be able to visit gorgeous mountains, like the High Sierra, which is home to some of the most majestic sights on earth, such as Yosemite National Park, as well as making quick trips to the beaches of the Pacific Coast, if I want to spend an evening shooting a sunset. One of my favorite past times has been to spend the spring season hunting down amazing wildflower blooms...including two years of "Superbloom" seasons in 2017 and 2019.
