Hummingbird are very territorial, and many challenges take place at the feeder. I have seven large feeders hanging in my back yard, and right now they are filled to capacity. I will need to get more soon, because reservations are needed to get a seat at the table now!!!
There are male and female hummingbirds here...many are juveniles. Most of these are Anna's hummingbirds, along with Allen's and Costas. These are the fall migrants and some who stay year-round. The spring will bring 4 or 5 additional types of hummers.
