Our spiral notebooks are 6" x 8" in size and include 120 pages which are lined on both sides. The artwork is printed on the front cover which is made of thick paper stock, and the back cover is medium gray in color. The inside of the back cover includes a pocket for storing extra paper and pens.

SINGING IN THE RAIN by Lynn Bauer - An adorable baby Costas hummingbird gleefully chirps and poses in a refreshing spring rain in a back yard garden in Southern California. This is a composite image made from 3 separate poses during her bath time frolic. She was so seriously cute that I couldn't stop myself, and I probably took between 50 and 60 pictures of her! I thought it would be fun to put a few of them into one image, and this is the result! The branch she is bathing on is part of a Japanese Maple tree which has beautiful leaves both in the spring and the fall. In this case, this was taken during the spring. The vibrant red leaves have now faded to peach and yellow, before they drop off for the summer. So, this image has the feel of multiple seasons in it!
We have many types of hummingbirds that migrate through Southern California both in the spring and the fall...but, the Costas, along with the Anna's and the Allen's, tend to stay be year-round.
I have spent most of my life living in Southern California where I have developed an appreciation for all the beauty provided by nature. I've been blessed to be able to visit gorgeous mountains, like the High Sierra, which is home to some of the most majestic sights on earth, such as Yosemite National Park, as well as making quick trips to the beaches of the Pacific Coast, if I want to spend an evening shooting a sunset.
