SANTA MONICA MOUNTAINS LUPINE PANORAMA by Lynn Bauer - Winter rains have brought a heavenly hillside of lupines to the Santa Monica Mountains in Camarillo, California. This lovely wildflower landscape gives me a view into what heaven must be like, and I'm so thankful for being able to find and share sights like this with others who may not be able to see them for themselves. It is especially wonderful to find these special places in areas around Los Angeles and Ventura County where most people wouldn't expect to find them! I came to this area once during mid-day, then back another time for sunset. This image was takes as the last light was touching the top of the hill and softly spilling over the gorgeous landscape in front of me!
I have spent most of my life living in Southern California where I have developed an appreciation for all the beauty provided by nature.
