Springtime is filled with beautiful flowers in the Texas Hill Country...thanks to one of our former First Ladies, Lady Bid Johnson, and her efforts to protect and restore Texas and it's wonderful wildflowers. For many years now, Texas has been spraying wildflower seeds along many of it's roadsides...especially in the beautiful "Hill Country." I try to get out each spring and make my way along many of it's highways...from San Antonio, to Ausitn, Dallas, Houston, Fredericksburg...and, many other places...including the Willow City Loop and Ennis, which are each well-known for their beautiful wildflower displays. In this particular case, I happened to find a ladybug (also known as a "ladybird") and thought it would be a fitting image for the title I have chosen. Thank you, Lady Bird Johnson, for making sure that generations to come would be able to enjoy the beauty that these incredible wildflowers bring to so many paople!

I have spent most of my life living in Southern California where I have developed an appreciation for all the beauty provided by nature. I've been blessed to be able to visit gorgeous mountains, like the High Sierra, which is home to some of the most majestic sights on earth, such as Yosemite National Park, as well as making quick trips to the beaches of the Pacific Coast, if I want to spend an evening shooting a sunset. One of my favorite past times has been to spend the spring season hunting down amazing wildflower blooms...including two years of "Superbloom" seasons in 2017 and 2019.
