The Eastern Sierra Nevada mountains are absolutely gorgeous any time of year (as are the Western Sierras, which are home to Yosemite National Park) but, fall is one of my favorites, with it's deep blue skies, cooler temperatures, and lovely fall colors popping throughout the forest! This image was taken near Tioga Pass, which is the northern gateway into the upper areas of Yosemite, and is part of the Inyo National Forest. It is located near the town of Lee Vining in mono County.
I have spent most of my life living in Southern California where I have developed an appreciation for all the beauty provided by nature. I've been blessed to be able to visit gorgeous mountains, like the High Sierra, which is home to some of the most majestic sights on earth, such as Yosemite National Park, as well as making quick trips to the beaches of the Pacific Coast, if I want to spend an evening shooting a sunset.
