GORGEOUS WILDFLOWERS ON THE WILLOW CITY LOOP by Lynn Bauer - I have seen many wildflowers along the Willow City Loop, but this is the first time I have run across this combination of flowers. These flowers were growing in sandy soil along the banks of a stream, which may account for this beautiful mix. Deep blue bluebonnets, bright pink phlox, and some type of yellow primrose spread out on one side of the creek, while pretty oak trees line the far side. With the white wispy clouds flitting across the lovely blue sky, it is a beautiful spring day on the Willow City Loop!
The Willow City Loop is an iconic drive just outside of Fredericksburg in the Texas Hill Country. It is well known for it's incredible displays of spring wildflowers.
