FALL'S FAREWELL by Lynn Bauer - Southern California is not known for it's fall colors. But, occasionally, if we get a burst of cold temperatures at night during the fall, we will see a few days of beautiful fall color. Such is the case here where a maple tree is brimming with a mix of yellow, orange, and mainly red leaves. Soon, a burst of wind will knock these leaves off, so it is time to enjoy and savor this fleeting moment and the beauty of nature.

I have spent most of my life living in Southern California where I have developed an appreciation for all the beauty provided by nature. I've been blessed to be able to visit gorgeous mountains, like the High Sierra, which is home to some of the most majestic sights on earth, such as Yosemite National Park, as well as making quick trips to the beaches of the Pacific Coast, if I want to spend an evening shooting a sunset.
