Description
TURNING THE CORNER ON FALL by Lynn Bauer - Color abounds in the Inyo National Forest during the fall, and it becomes apparent why California is called the "Golden State." Golden aspen trees line a curve in the dirt road, as golden ferns cling to the edge of the opposite side. This is alpine country and the green pine trees add a pretty contrast in the background. This was taken in Tioga Canyon at the bottom of the back entrance to Yosemite National Park.
Tioga Canyon is located at the Lee Vining entrance to Tioga Pass in Inyo National Forest in Mono County, California.
