Description
SUPERBLOOM WILDFLOWERS OF THE CARRIZO PLAIN by Lynn Bauer - The Carrizo Plain National Monument has come alive with flowers during the spring. This area was found along Simmler road near Soda Lake. Yellow and white tidy tips mix with orange fiddlenecks and pretty purple phacelia. It is a breathtaking sight and one I will remember for a very long time. California is known for so many things...but, one of my very favorites is seeing some of our desert landscapes transform into incredible works of art and beauty with the emergence of spring wildflowers!
The Carrizo Plain runs from Bakersfield in Kern County up to San Luis Obispo County.
