Description
This is one of the side entrances to the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center in Simi Valley, CA. It was originally built as the Simi Community Methodist Episcopal Church. After that it served many purposes...a private residence, temporary high school, Jewish temple, and even a mortuary. The building was approved as Ventura County's Historical Landmark No. 67 in July of 1981. Ten years later, the City of Simi Valley acquired for use as their Cultural Arts Center, with the intention of restoring it's original historical features. It officially opened as the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center in November of 1995. It is a beautiful building and it serves it'c community well!
